The problem it fixes
Most Shopify themes output Product schema by default. Review apps like Judge.me, Yotpo, and Okendo often add a second Product block to attach star ratings. The result is the same product described twice, sometimes with different prices, or a rating with zero reviews behind it.
Google won’t penalize you for it directly. But it can trigger Search Console errors and is one of the most common reasons review stars and prices don’t show in search results, even for stores with plenty of reviews.
