I’m a senior technical SEO specialist with 7+ years of hands-on experience in crawl auditing, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and — more recently — Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): the practice of getting brands cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
Most of my work is done as a white-label fulfillment partner for digital marketing agencies. Agencies bring me in when their retainer clients have technical SEO problems they can’t solve in-house, or when clients start asking about AI search visibility and the agency doesn’t have an answer yet.
I handle the execution. The agency keeps the client relationship.
Why AEO — and Why Now
Traditional SEO hasn’t died. But something has changed: rankings are holding while traffic is dropping for a growing number of sites. The reason is AI Overviews and zero-click search — Google is answering questions before users click. ChatGPT and Perplexity are answering before users even reach Google.
The brands that appear in those AI-generated answers aren’t there by accident. They’ve implemented the infrastructure — structured data, entity authority, citation architecture — that AI engines use to decide what to cite.
That infrastructure is what I build. I call the practice AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), though you’ll also see it called GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). The terminology is still settling. The problem is real now.
