Okendo + Shopify

Your Okendo reviews are on the page. Are they reaching Google?

On most Shopify stores, the theme describes each product to Google one way and Okendo describes it another way. That’s the Schema Collision. Your stars drop out of search, and AI engines skip your product data because it doesn’t agree with itself. I find it, put a dollar figure on it, and fix it inside your theme in 14 days.

  • See exactly which block comes from the theme and which from Okendo

The problem

What Okendo does to your Product schema

Okendo outputs review markup for your products, and your theme outputs its own Product block. Stores that switched to Okendo from another review app often still have the old app’s scripts or schema loading too, so there are two or three sources describing the same product.

The result is one product page carrying two or three different descriptions of the same product: different ratings, a rating with no price, or a price with no rating. Google wants one Product with everything attached. When it can’t line them up, it usually drops the rich result. AI engines lean on a competitor whose data is clean.

Apparel store running Okendo plus a second review app

What it looks like on a real store

The product page loads Okendo and a second review app at the same time, and has two H1s. Only one rating makes it into the schema, so the other app is mostly extra script weight slowing every product page. Store name withheld.

Why it costs more now

Fewer clicks go to fewer winners

When an AI Overview shows up, the #1 result gets about 58% fewer clicks (Ahrefs, December 2025 data). Brands cited inside AI Overviews earn 35% more organic clicks than brands that aren’t (Seer Interactive). Clean, consistent product data is part of how the AI picks.

FAQs

Questions about Okendo and schema

I switched to Okendo from another review app. Could the old one still be loading?

Often, yes. Uninstalling an app doesn’t always remove the code it added to your theme. The free checker shows every Product block on the page and which app it likely came from.

Will this break my reviews or my theme?

No. Fixes are built in a duplicate of your live theme and published only after you approve them. Your review widgets keep working. Only the duplicate schema output is changed.

How fast will my stars come back?

Rich results and Search Console errors usually update within 2-4 weeks of Google recrawling the fixed pages. AI citations typically appear 60-90 days after implementation.
