Yotpo + Shopify
Your Yotpo reviews are on the page. Are they reaching Google?
On most Shopify stores, the theme describes each product to Google one way and Yotpo describes it another way. That’s the Schema Collision. Your stars drop out of search, and AI engines skip your product data because it doesn’t agree with itself. I find it, put a dollar figure on it, and fix it inside your theme in 14 days.

- See exactly which block comes from the theme and which from Yotpo

The problem
What Yotpo does to your Product schema
Yotpo adds rating markup for your products, and your theme outputs its own Product block. On many stores both end up on the page, often with review counts that don’t match because each pulls from a different source or cache.
The result is one product page carrying two or three different descriptions of the same product: different ratings, a rating with no price, or a price with no rating. Google wants one Product with everything attached. When it can’t line them up, it usually drops the rich result. AI engines lean on a competitor whose data is clean.

Supplement brand on Yotpo
What it looks like on a real store
One product page sends Google two separate Product blocks for the same item. One says 4.4 stars from 30 reviews. The other says 4.8 from 35. When Google gets two answers like that, it often shows neither. Store name withheld.
Why it costs more now
Fewer clicks go to fewer winners
When an AI Overview shows up, the #1 result gets about 58% fewer clicks (Ahrefs, December 2025 data). Brands cited inside AI Overviews earn 35% more organic clicks than brands that aren’t (Seer Interactive). Clean, consistent product data is part of how the AI picks.

FAQs
Questions about Yotpo and schema
Why would two Product blocks show different ratings?
Each block is built from a different source, so they drift apart. One may be cached, or count reviews differently. Google can’t tell which is true, so neither is trusted.
Will this break my reviews or my theme?
No. Fixes are built in a duplicate of your live theme and published only after you approve them. Your review widgets keep working. Only the duplicate schema output is changed.
How fast will my stars come back?
Rich results and Search Console errors usually update within 2-4 weeks of Google recrawling the fixed pages. AI citations typically appear 60-90 days after implementation.
