Shopify Schema Conflict Checker

Your theme describes the product. Your review app describes it again. This instrument reads every structured data block on a Shopify page, finds the duplicates and contradictions, and names the theme or app that put them there.

Step 1 / Paste a page URL

Use a product page for the fullest check: prices and stock are compared against your store's own product data. Collection, blog, and home pages work too. Nothing is installed on your store.

The Shopify Schema Conflict Checker is a free tool that reads every block of structured data on a Shopify page, finds duplicate or contradictory Product, rating, and price markup, and tells you whether your theme or an app like Judge.me, Yotpo, or Okendo caused it.

It takes about 10 seconds, needs no sign-up, and installs nothing on your store.

Why Shopify stores end up with duplicate schema

Most Shopify themes output Product schema on every product page by default. Review apps and SEO apps often add their own Product markup on top, usually to attach star ratings. Nobody removes the theme’s version, so the page ends up describing the same product two or three times, sometimes with different prices, ratings, or IDs.

Google doesn’t penalize duplicate markup as such. The risk is that it merges the blocks, picks the wrong one, reports errors in Search Console, or drops review stars and price details from your results. The store owner rarely notices, because the page looks fine to shoppers.

How it knows which app caused a problem

Each block of structured data is matched against the markers apps leave behind: class names, script sources, and comments around the markup. A block inside a Judge.me widget is attributed to Judge.me; a block inside the theme’s main product section is attributed to the theme. Every attribution comes with a confidence level, because apps change their markup over time.

Clean schema is also the foundation for being cited in AI answers. Once your markup is sorted, check whether AI engines cite your store and what they say about your brand.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Shopify Schema Conflict Checker free?

Yes. The full result is free with no sign-up. You can optionally have the report emailed to you with fix steps for your theme and apps.

How is this different from Google’s Rich Results Test?

The Rich Results Test shows you every block Google found. It doesn’t tell you which blocks conflict, whether the price matches your store, or which theme or app produced each one. This checker does, so you know what to switch off.

Does it see markup added by JavaScript?

Not yet. It reads the page HTML your server sends. If a review app is installed but no rating markup appears in the HTML, the result flags that the app may be adding it with JavaScript and suggests confirming in the Rich Results Test.

Does it work on stores that aren’t on Shopify?

The conflict checks work on any site. Source detection and the price comparison are built for Shopify, so results on other platforms are less specific.

Can you fix the issues for me?

Yes. The Fix Sprint cleans up schema, collection architecture, and template issues on your store in two weeks. Get in touch with your result link and I’ll tell you what’s involved.
