Best Shopify SEO Agencies: who to Hire in 2026

Best Shopify SEO Agencies (2026)

Last Updated on October 28, 2026 by Corey Fox

The best Shopify SEO agency depends on your size and what you need done. For large brands that want SEO plus digital PR at scale, Go Fish Digital and Victorious are the strongest SEO-first options. For Shopify Plus brands that want build and SEO under one roof, Eastside Co and Charle are Shopify Premier Partners. If you want a senior specialist instead of an account-managed team, a solo consultant (including me) is the cheaper, more direct route.

I grouped these by “best for” because a $2M DTC brand and a $50M Shopify Plus retailer should not hire the same firm.

Quick picks

  • Go Fish Digital: best for large Shopify brands that want technical SEO plus digital PR link building
  • Eastside Co: best for Shopify Plus brands that want a Premier Partner handling SEO, migrations, and international
  • Victorious: best for brands with a big budget that want an SEO-only agency
  • Inflow: best for mid-market ecommerce brands that want an ecommerce SEO specialist
  • Charle: best for brands that want a Shopify-only agency covering SEO, CRO, and email
  • Corey Fox: best for Shopify brands that want a senior technical specialist without agency layers
  • Shero Commerce: best for an independent review of your current SEO agency
  • Shopify Partner Directory freelancers: best for tight budgets and one-off tasks

How I picked these

  • Shopify-specific SEO work. Each pick either has a dedicated Shopify SEO page or is a Shopify-only agency. Shopify has its own problems (duplicate collection URLs, variant canonicals, app-injected schema, theme bloat), and generic SEO shops often miss them.
  • SEO is a real service, not a footnote. I dropped several well-known Shopify agencies (Electric Eye, Blue Stout) because their sites list design, development, or CRO but not SEO.
  • Verifiable details. Every price, rating, and Partner tier comes from the agency’s site, Shopify Partner Directory, or Clutch, checked October 2026. Case study numbers are only quoted with a link.
  • AI search coverage. For 2026, I gave weight to agencies that address AI Overviews and answer engines, not just blue links.
  • A range of sizes. Large agencies, ecommerce specialists, and solo or boutique options.

1. Go Fish Digital: best for large Shopify brands that want SEO plus digital PR

Go Fish Digital is a full-service agency headquartered in Raleigh, NC, with other offices listed in Boston, DC, Phoenix, San Diego, and Jacksonville. It has a dedicated Shopify SEO service page that covers keyword research, technical audits, collection and product page optimization, site speed and app review, and digital PR link building. Its PR team cites links from The New York Times, CNN, and Forbes. It also publishes a Shopify case study for Bella Ella Boutique reporting a 188% year-over-year organic traffic increase.

Key features

  • Shopify-specific technical audits: duplicate content, crawl and rendering issues, structured data gaps
  • Product and collection page optimization, including new collection pages built from search demand
  • Digital PR link building through journalist outreach

Pricing: Not published on the Shopify SEO page (“Request a Custom Proposal”). Clutch lists a $5,000+ minimum project size (Clutch profile). As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Genuine Shopify SEO depth plus a PR team that can build links at scale
  • Free SEO and ecommerce audits listed on the site
  • Published Shopify case studies with numbers

Cons

  • Large agency (Clutch lists 250 to 999 employees), so smaller stores may not get senior attention
  • No published pricing
  • No Shopify Partner status shown on the Shopify SEO page

Best for: Established Shopify brands with budget for SEO and link building together.

2. Eastside Co: best for Shopify Plus brands that want a Premier Partner

Eastside Co is a London-based Shopify agency with offices in New York and Dubai. Its Shopify Plus partner listing shows it as a Premier Partner. The Shopify SEO page covers Shopify-specific audits, crawl and index management for variant and filter URLs, AI search optimization, Shopify Markets international SEO (hreflang and domain strategy), penalty recovery, and site migrations, where it cites over 60 completed migrations.

Key features

  • Shopify SEO audits covering structure, canonicals, structured data, and Core Web Vitals
  • International SEO using Shopify Markets
  • Migrations to Shopify with redirect mapping
  • AI search and generative engine optimization

Pricing: No SEO pricing published. The Shopify Plus listing says “from $500 for selected services,” and Clutch lists a $10,000+ minimum project and $100 to $149 per hour (Clutch profile). As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Premier Partner status, so build, migration, and SEO can sit with one team
  • States openly that it won’t promise a number-one ranking

Cons

  • No Clutch reviews yet, so third-party feedback is thin there
  • No SEO case study numbers on the Shopify SEO page
  • Better suited to Plus-level budgets than small stores

Best for: Shopify Plus brands, especially those migrating or expanding internationally.

3. Victorious: best for an SEO-only agency with a large budget

Victorious is a San Francisco SEO agency founded in 2013 that does only search (SEO, content, and some web development). Its Shopify page is aimed at Shopify Plus catalogs: collection and product keyword strategy, crawl budget for large catalogs, faceted navigation canonicals, product schema for Shopping and AI retrieval, and AEO content. It publishes a Lychee the Label case study reporting a 214% year-over-year monthly revenue increase, though the page does not state the store’s platform.

Key features

  • Catalog SEO for large Shopify Plus stores
  • AEO and structured data for AI answers and Google Shopping

Pricing: Not published on its site. Clutch lists SEO packages starting at $5,999/month, a $50,000+ minimum project, and $300+ per hour (Clutch profile). As of October 2026.

Pros

  • 4.8 rating across 119 Clutch reviews, a deep review base
  • SEO is the whole business, not one service among ten
  • Clear AEO component in the Shopify offer

Cons

  • Highest entry price on this list
  • No Shopify Partner badge shown
  • Not a fit for stores that can’t commit to a large monthly spend

Best for: Shopify Plus brands with $6,000+/month for SEO and no need for paid media from the same vendor.

4. Inflow: best for mid-market ecommerce brands that want an ecommerce SEO specialist

Inflow calls itself an ecommerce marketing agency, founded in 2007, with location pages for Tampa and Denver. It is platform-agnostic but names Shopify. Its ecommerce SEO service covers technical audits, content and category optimization, digital PR, migrations, algorithm update analysis, and GA4 setup. It publishes a Simms Fishing case study with a 126% increase in organic traffic.

Key features

  • Technical SEO including crawl budget, schema, and internal linking
  • Product and category page optimization tied to revenue
  • Ecommerce migration planning

Pricing: No packages listed. Its FAQ says effective SEO services “generally cost between $3,000 and $5,000 per month.” Clutch lists a $1,000+ minimum project and $150 to $199 per hour (Clutch profile). As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Ecommerce is the whole focus
  • More pricing transparency than most agencies
  • Long track record and published case studies

Cons

  • Not Shopify-only, so check their Shopify-specific experience on the call
  • No Shopify Partner badge on the homepage
  • Their own guidance puts serious SEO at $3,000+/month

Best for: Ecommerce brands in the $3,000 to $5,000/month range that want a specialist, not a generalist.

5. Charle: best for a Shopify-only agency covering SEO, CRO, and email

Charle works only on Shopify, with offices in New York, London, and Manchester. Its Shopify Partner Directory listing shows Premier tier. The Shopify SEO service covers technical audits, keyword mapping to collections and products, structured data reviews, content, digital PR, and international SEO with Shopify Markets. It also runs separate ecommerce AI SEO and GEO services, plus CRO and Klaviyo work.

Key features

  • Collection and product page optimization
  • Structured data review for product, review, and store schema
  • International SEO: hreflang, canonicals, Shopify Markets
  • CRO, A/B testing, and Klaviyo under the same roof

Pricing: Not published. The SEO page references a single plan and a memberships page, but no prices. The Partner Directory says “Contact for pricing.” As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Shopify-only, so every client has the same platform problems
  • Premier Partner status
  • SEO, CRO, and email in one place

Cons

  • No SEO case study numbers published on the SEO page
  • No reviews yet on its Partner Directory listing
  • No public pricing

Best for: UK and US Shopify brands that want SEO bundled with CRO and retention.

6. Corey Fox: best for a senior Shopify specialist without agency layers

Disclosure: this is my own service.

Corey Fox is me: a solo senior technical SEO consultant who works on Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, mostly DTC brands doing roughly $1M to $10M a year. I offer three ways in. The Shopify SEO Audit is $1,500 fixed, read-only, and delivered with a walkthrough within 10 business days. The Fix Sprint is $2,500 fixed and covers schema cleanup, up to 25 duplicate or thin collections, cannibalization on your top 10 terms, and template fixes in 10 business days. The monthly SEO and AEO retainer starts at $1,500/month.

Key features

  • Audit covers crawl and indexation, product and review schema, collections, templates, speed and app load, international setup, a five-question AI search check, and a GA4 revenue baseline
  • Fix Sprint builds changes in a duplicate theme and publishes only after you approve
  • AI visibility reporting across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews on retainers
  • Audit fee is credited in full if you book the Fix Sprint or a retainer within 30 days

Pricing: Audit $1,500; Fix Sprint $2,500; retainers at $1,500/month (Foundation), $4,000/month (Growth Engine), and $6,500/month (AI Search Domination). See Shopify SEO services. As of October 2026.

Pros

  • You work directly with the person doing the work
  • Fixed prices and fixed scope on the audit and sprint
  • Technical and schema depth, including AI search

Cons

  • One person, so capacity is limited and start dates can wait
  • Not a full-service agency: no paid media, email, or design
  • Not a fit for brand-new stores with no organic traffic

Best for: Shopify brands with an in-house developer or dev agency that want a senior specialist to find and fix problems, not an account-managed team.

7. Shero Commerce: best for an independent review of your current agency

Shero Commerce is an ecommerce agency with offices in New York, London, Helsinki, and Tirana, and says it has been in business 16+ years. Its Shopify SEO consulting page is unusual: it offers an independent review of an existing agency’s work, alongside technical audits, keyword and intent mapping, Liquid and theme implementation guidance, and monthly advisory sessions for in-house teams.

Key features

  • Technical audit with prioritized fixes
  • Commercial-intent keyword mapping
  • Liquid and theme implementation guidance

Pricing: Not published. A 30-minute call produces a scope and recommendation. As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Second-opinion offer is useful if you suspect your current agency is coasting

Cons

  • No pricing or Shopify Partner tier shown on the page
  • Case studies listed on the page are migrations and builds, not SEO results
  • Advisory format means your team does much of the execution

Best for: Brands that want a consultant-style engagement or an outside check on their current SEO vendor.

8. First Pier: best for smaller US brands that want SEO, ads, and build together

First Pier is a Portland, Maine Shopify agency. Its Shopify Partner Directory listing shows Service partner status and a 5.0 rating from 6 reviews. Its ecommerce SEO service covers technical audits (including faceted navigation and pagination duplicates), on-page and schema work, content strategy, and AEO principles like direct-answer content and AI-readable product schema.

Key features

  • Shopify-specific technical audit
  • Title, meta, and collection copy optimization
  • AEO built into engagements
  • Paid search and store builds in-house

Pricing: No SEO pricing published. The Partner Directory shows “Starting from $1200” for selected services, without saying which. Free ecommerce SEO audit offered. As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Shopify Partner with SEO, ads, and design under one roof
  • Free audit to start
  • Sets realistic timelines up front

Cons

  • Smaller review base
  • No SEO case study figures with links on the SEO page
  • SEO is not listed among its services on the Partner Directory

Best for: Smaller US Shopify brands that want one partner for SEO, paid, and site work.

9. Shopify Partner Directory freelancers: best for tight budgets and one-off tasks

The Shopify Partner Directory SEO category lists more than 2,400 partners offering SEO and paid search. Listings show ratings, review counts, and starting prices. On the first page I checked, starting prices ran from around $100 to $350 for many freelancers, with some US agencies quoting $1,000 or a $3,500 to $25,000 range.

Key features

  • Filter by location, service, and budget

Pricing: Varies by partner; many entry listings start between $100 and $350. As of October 2026.

Pros

  • Cheapest entry point
  • Good for defined tasks like meta rewrites or image alt text
  • Reviews are tied to Shopify

Cons

  • Quality varies widely, and the category mixes SEO with paid search
  • High review counts often reflect small tasks, not strategy
  • You have to do the vetting

Best for: New stores with small budgets or a single, well-defined fix.

What Shopify SEO costs

Here are the real numbers I could verify in October 2026:

  • Freelancers on the Shopify Partner Directory: entry listings commonly start at $100 to $350.
  • Fixed-price audits: my own Shopify SEO Audit is $1,500; agencies rarely publish audit prices.
  • Ecommerce SEO retainers: Inflow says effective SEO “generally costs between $3,000 and $5,000 per month.”
  • Large SEO agencies: Clutch lists Victorious SEO packages from $5,999/month.

Questions to ask before hiring a Shopify SEO agency

  1. Who will actually do the work? Ask for the person on your account, not the sales lead.
  2. How do you handle duplicate collection and variant URLs? A Shopify specialist should answer this quickly, including canonicals and the /collections/x/products/y path.
  3. How do you deal with app-injected schema? Reviews, SEO, and theme apps often add conflicting Product markup. You can check your own store first with the free Shopify Schema Conflict Checker.
  4. Do you implement, or only recommend? Find out whether they edit Liquid and theme files, or hand a list to your developer.
  5. What does AI search work look like? Ask how they measure visibility in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, not just rankings.
  6. What’s the contract term? Ask about minimums, notice periods, and who owns the content.
  7. Can I see a Shopify case study with numbers and a link? If they can’t show one, ask why.

How to choose

  • Under $1M revenue or little organic traffic: start with a fixed-scope audit or a vetted freelancer. A big retainer won’t pay back yet.
  • $1M to $10M with a developer: a senior consultant or an ecommerce specialist like Inflow is usually better value than a large agency.
  • Shopify Plus, multi-market, or migrating: a Premier Partner like Eastside Co or Charle can handle build and SEO together.
  • Large catalog and big budget: Victorious or Go Fish Digital bring scale, content, and link building.
  • Unhappy with your current agency: get an outside audit before switching. Shero Commerce offers this, and an audit from me does the same job.
  • Verify before you sign: check Partner tier in the Shopify Partner Directory and reviews on Clutch.

FAQ

What is the best Shopify SEO agency?

There is no single best one. Go Fish Digital and Victorious suit large brands, Eastside Co and Charle suit Shopify Plus brands that want a Premier Partner, and a solo consultant suits brands that want senior attention for less.

How much does a Shopify SEO agency cost?

Most agencies don’t publish prices. Inflow says effective ecommerce SEO runs $3,000 to $5,000 per month, Clutch lists Victorious from $5,999 per month, and fixed-price audits from consultants start around $1,500.

Should I hire a Shopify SEO agency or a consultant?

Hire an agency if you need content, links, and paid media at volume. Hire a consultant if you have a developer and need someone senior to diagnose and fix technical problems.

Do Shopify SEO agencies need to be Shopify Partners?

No. Partner status shows Shopify experience, but several strong SEO firms don’t display it. What matters more is whether they understand Shopify’s URL, schema, and theme limits.

How long does Shopify SEO take to work?

Technical fixes can show up within weeks of Google recrawling. First Pier cites four to eight weeks for technical fixes and three to six months for content.

How this list is maintained

I checked every agency’s own site, plus its Shopify Partner Directory listing or Clutch profile where available, in October 2026. Prices and Partner tiers change, so I’ll update this list as they do. My own service is included and labeled with a disclosure. No agency paid to be on this list. If you run one of these agencies and something is out of date, contact me and I’ll fix it.
